2016
Inception
AgriPredict began in September, 2016 at a hackathon called AgriHack. AgriPredict was the winner of the competition and won $1000 USD as seed funding. This served as the foundation for a data company that is driven by change and impact.
2019
Pilot in partnership with SNV
AgriPredict partnered with SNV to pilot its first offering focused on disease diagnosis services in Eastern Province. This learning year resulted in a paradigm shift in the company's approach to service delivery and shaped the direction of its future offerings.
2020
Market Access Service
Officially registered as a company. Development of the Market Access Service to connect farmers directly with buyers, eliminating middlemen and improving farmer income.
2021
Expansion Year
Partnership with World Vision, launch of the Early Warning System, and securing the National Technology Business Centre Grant to expand operations.
2022
Platform Launch
Official platform launch with over 85,000 registered users across multiple regions, providing comprehensive agricultural services.
2023
Mobile Applications
Launch of CoolFarmer v3 and E-extension Service Mobile Application, bringing advanced agricultural technology to smartphones.
2024
Innovation & Recognition
Launched the Weather App and expanded USSD access, joined the Water & Energy for Food programme, and partnered with World Vision on Thrive 2030. CEO Cassandra Mtine-Makumbi received the Zee Woman in Agriculture award, and AgriPredict featured in CGTN's Faces of Africa documentary.
2025
Five Years of Service
Marked five years serving Zambian farmers, with 203,994 farmers joining over the year and 13.4 million interactions. Won three industry awards and ran field visits with World Vision. Expanded our partnership portfolio with Conservation Farming Unit and Solidaridad, and signed an MOU with ChildFund Zambia, beginning a new partnership.
