A1. Acceptance & eligibility
By registering for, accessing, or using the Services, you confirm that you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you use the Services on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to bind that organisation. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to use the Services.
A2. The Services
AgriPredict designs, builds, operates, and distributes software platforms, mobile and web applications, and USSD services, and provides related professional and technology services, across multiple sectors. These include, among others:
- an agricultural value-chain platform — group and household management, field monitoring, weather and early-warning information, AI advisory, savings groups, wallets, deliveries, offtake, and payments; and
- solid-waste-management systems — customer/client management, cashier and payment collection, billing, and fleet, vehicle, and weighbridge management (for example the LISWMC platform and its cashier, client, and fleet-management apps).
We also build and distribute bespoke solutions for our clients. Features vary by platform, product, and by your role, and may change over time. Where we operate or distribute a platform on behalf of a client organisation, your use may also be subject to that organisation's own terms.
A3. Accounts & registration
- You must provide accurate, current information when registering (including your phone number and, where required, your national ID) and keep it up to date.
- You are responsible for activity that occurs through your account, PIN, or one-time passcodes. Keep your credentials confidential and notify us of any unauthorised use.
- We may verify your identity and may refuse, suspend, or remove accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law.
A4. Acceptable use
You agree not to: use the Services unlawfully or fraudulently; impersonate others or submit false data; attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Services or other users' data; interfere with or disrupt the Services; or use the Services to infringe others' rights. You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter.
A5. Payments & collections
- Certain features involve payments, collections, cashiering, wallets, savings, billing, and mobile-money transactions processed through third-party payment and banking partners and mobile network operators.
- You authorise us and our partners to process transactions you initiate. You are responsible for the accuracy of transaction details (such as amounts and recipient numbers).
- Fees, where they apply, will be disclosed to you. Transactions may be subject to the terms, limits, and availability of the relevant mobile-money operator, bank, or the client organisation operating the service, for which AgriPredict is not responsible.
- We keep records of transactions as required to operate the Services and to comply with the law.
A6. Intellectual property
The Services, including software, content, trademarks, and design, are owned by AgriPredict or its licensors and are protected by law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Services for their intended purpose. You retain rights in the data you submit, and you grant us the rights needed to operate and improve the Services and to produce aggregated, non-identifying insights.
A7. Third-party services
The Services rely on third parties (for example Google Maps/Places, mobile network operators such as MTN and Zamtel, and payment partners). Your use of those features may be subject to the third party's own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.
A8. Disclaimers
The Services, including agronomic advice, yield estimates, weather and early-warning information, and operational data, are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis for informational and operational purposes and do not guarantee any particular agricultural, financial, operational, or other outcome. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied. You should exercise your own judgement and seek professional advice where appropriate.
A9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, AgriPredict and its partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Services. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
A10. Suspension & termination
You may stop using the Services at any time and may request account deletion (see Part B, "Deleting your data"). We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Services and other users. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will do so.
A11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Zambia, and you agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Zambian courts, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections available to you.
A12. Changes & contact
We may update these Terms from time to time; material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notified through the Services. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms. Questions? Contact hello@agripredict.com.
This Privacy Policy explains how AgriPredict collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal data across the Services. It applies to all of AgriPredict's platforms, apps, USSD services, and professional services.
B1. Who we are
For Services AgriPredict provides for its own account, AgriPredict is the data controller responsible for your personal data. For solutions AgriPredict builds, operates, or distributes on behalf of a client organisation — such as a waste-management utility or local authority, a cooperative, NGO, input supplier, buyer, or government programme — that organisation is typically the data controller and AgriPredict acts as its technology provider and data processor under contract, and that organisation's own privacy notice may also apply. AgriPredict is based in Lusaka, Zambia. For any privacy question or to exercise your rights, contact hello@agripredict.com.
B2. Data we collect
| Category | Examples |
|---|---|
| Identity & contact | Name, phone number, email address (if provided), and gender. |
| Government identifier | National Registration Card (NRC) or other government ID, where required to register or verify you for a service or programme. |
| Account & customer data | Customer or account numbers, service or premises addresses, billing details, roles, and membership or programme enrolment. |
| Location & geospatial | Precise and approximate GPS location; farm field boundaries; premises, collection-point, and service-area locations; and related mapping data. |
| Financial & transaction data | Mobile-money wallet identifiers, payments, cashier and collection transactions, billing and invoices, contributions, savings, loans, and deliveries. We do not store full mobile-money PINs. |
| Operational & service records | Service history relevant to the platform you use — for example agricultural data (crops, deliveries, quality) or waste-management data (collection schedules, weigh events, service and route history). |
| Fleet & vehicle data | Vehicle registration, GPS/telematics and route tracking, driver or crew details, and weighbridge readings, where you use our fleet or weighbridge services. |
| USSD interaction data | Menu selections and inputs during a USSD session, and the phone number (MSISDN) associated with the session. |
| Device & technical data | Device and app identifiers, IP address, app version, and diagnostic, crash, and performance information. |
| Communications | Messages, support requests, and notifications exchanged with us or through the Services. |
We only collect data needed to provide the Services or that you choose to give us.
B3. How we collect it
- Directly from you — when you register, enter data in an app, or dial our USSD codes.
- From your device and connected equipment — GPS/location (with your permission), field-boundary mapping, vehicle trackers, and weighbridge or other connected devices.
- From mobile network operators & USSD gateways — your phone number and session data.
- From payment and banking partners — transaction confirmations for payments and collections.
- From client and partner organisations — the organisation that enrols you or whose service you use may provide data about your account or participation.
B4. How we use your data
- Provide, operate, distribute, and maintain the Services and your account;
- Register and verify users, customers, group members, and organisation staff;
- Deliver sector-specific features — for example agricultural field monitoring, weather/early-warning, and AI advisory; and waste-management operations such as collection scheduling, cashier and billing, fleet dispatch and route management, and weighbridge processing;
- Enable payments, collections, wallets, savings, deliveries, and related workflows, and keep accurate financial records;
- Communicate with you, including service messages and support;
- Analyse and improve the Services and produce aggregated, non-identifying insights;
- Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security issues; and
- Comply with legal and regulatory obligations.
B5. Legal bases for processing
Where required, we rely on your consent (e.g. precise location or optional features), performance of a contract, our legitimate interests in operating and improving the Services, and compliance with legal obligations. You may withdraw consent at any time.
B6. How we share data
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the types of parties needed to run the Services:
- Client organisations — where AgriPredict operates or distributes a platform on behalf of an organisation (for example a waste-management utility such as LISWMC, a cooperative, NGO, supplier, buyer, or government programme).
- Payment & banking partners — mobile-money and banking providers (for example our payments partner Lenco and mobile-money operators).
- Mobile network operators & USSD aggregators — such as MTN and Zamtel.
- Technology providers — Google (Maps/Places, Play services) and cloud/hosting providers who process data on our behalf under contract.
- Government & regulatory authorities — including relevant municipal or local authorities, where required to deliver a public service or comply with law.
- Professional advisers — where required to comply with law or protect rights, safety, and security.
- Business transfers — in a merger, acquisition, or reorganisation, subject to this policy.
B7. Google user data & Google APIs
Where the Services use Google APIs (such as Google Maps Platform and Google Play services) or Google sign-in, we access, use, store, and share Google user data only to provide and improve user-facing features and as described in this policy. Use of Google Maps/Places is also governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
B8. Data retention
We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes in this policy, including to provide the Services, maintain financial records required by law, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When no longer needed, we delete or irreversibly anonymise it.
B9. Security
We use technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), access controls, and encryption of sensitive data at rest where appropriate. Our infrastructure runs on Zambian infrastructure to support data residency. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and to notify you and authorities of significant incidents where required.
B10. International data transfers
Your data is primarily processed in Zambia. Some providers (for example certain cloud, mapping, or communication providers) may process data in other countries; where data is transferred internationally, we take steps to keep it protected consistent with this policy and applicable law.
B11. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may: access your data; correct inaccurate data; request deletion; object to or restrict certain processing; withdraw consent; request a copy (portability); and lodge a complaint with a data-protection authority. To exercise these rights, contact hello@agripredict.com. Where a client organisation is the controller of your data, we may direct your request to that organisation. We may need to verify your identity first.
B12. Deleting your data
You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time by emailing hello@agripredict.com with the subject "Data Deletion Request", or by asking the administrator of the organisation you are enrolled with or an AgriPredict agent to submit the request for you. We will delete or anonymise your data unless we (or the client organisation we act for) must retain certain records (for example financial transaction records) to comply with the law.
B13. Children's privacy
The Services are intended for adults and authorised representatives of households, customers, and organisations. We do not knowingly collect personal data directly from children under 18 without appropriate consent. Contact us if you believe a child has provided data without authorisation and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
B14. Cookies & tracking
Our web platforms use strictly necessary cookies (for example to keep you signed in and secure your session) and may use limited analytics to improve usage. You can control cookies in your browser; disabling strictly necessary cookies may affect the Services. Our USSD service does not use cookies.
B15. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notified through the Services. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
